Title: wireless connection problem
Post by: TiLepre on June 11, 2007, 05:10:26 PM
I have added a 802.11g wireless usb card(54mbps. WiFi2 mbps WiFi 2.4 ghz) to my Imac g3 and have an apple base station on my new imac.  I have no problem stay connected on the new imac but the connection on the old imac is terrible.  It only stays on once in a while. I have check the network status and all the information is correct. I really don't know what else I can do.  Does anyone know if this is a common problem?  If not I would appreciate some help with this problem. Thank you.  I hope I have made myself clear and if not please tell me.  Thank you.

Hi! Can you be a bit more specific about your network layout? You have an Apple Base Station "on" your G4 iMac? That doesn't really make sense... Your iMac should both be wirelessly connecting to your base station which may also wired to your hi-speed DSL/cable - is that the case?  What kind of USB wireless device is connected to your G3 iMac?

Don't panic
