Title: How do I install my cd's music on an Ipod shuffle?
Post by: AylmerQc on March 06, 2007, 11:59:43 AM
Is that possible? I bought a shuffle but the kids use it so i don't know too much about the ins and out of MP3's. I have a cd that teaches French and want to install it on the Ipod..
Thanks

The iPod syncs it's music content with one iTunes Library on a Mac.  You need to find out from your kids which iTunes they have synced their iPod with (do they have separate accounts / separate Macs than you?) and import your CD as MP3s into that iTunes library.

It's easy, first login to the proper account on the proper Mac that the iTunes library is in and pop in the CD.  This should bring up iTunes, if not start iTunes.  The music from your CD should be showing in iTunes.  Select import the songs from the CD.  Then just plug in the iPod and it will sync the newly added music with the iPod.

Of course the easier way to do all this is just to get your kids to do it as they'll get it done 10 times faster.  Especially if you haven't used iTunes or iPod which seems evident by your post.
