Is it possible to have USB 2.0 supported with an OS9.2.2 system?

I am using a QuickSilver with empty PCI slots.

Open this page and search (Ctrl+F) for "2.0".

The comments suggest that USB 2.0 is not supported by Mac OS 9.x.
